I wrote "almost seventeen" about the many feelings surrounding growing up and the independency that comes with it. I'm sure many others can resonate with the idea of it seeming a bit scary or overwhelming at times, but on the other hand, getting older introduces a very exciting, new part of your life and gives you so much to look forward to. ALMOST SEVENTEEN
Easy as it is
As much as I think I am fine on my own
Forgot a few things, didn't want you to know
Can't always call you when I don't feel in control
Something better than this
Is that what I expect, 'cause it's a bit bold
I'm out of line but don't realize until I'm told

Makes me feel like I should stay now
It's just the part where I freak myself out
